February 2009 Meeting

Meeting called to order by Bob Hildreth at 2:10 PM.

January meeting read by Mark Ferguson.  Keith Carlburg made motion to approve minutes as read and David Sporaa seconded the motion.

Treasury report given by Shadrach Sporaa.  Account balance is $282.29 and Shad paid the domain bill for $119.50.  Keith Carlburg made a motion to approve the treasury report and David Sporaa seconded the motion.  No claims are to be paid this month.

Old Business – None Discussed.

New Business:  

• Shad will check with Danny of Heartland Motorsports to make a new website.  Danny’s cost is $300/year to maintain the site and $300 one time fee to build a new site.  Mark Ferguson made a motion to use Heartland Motorsports and Keith Carlburg seconded the motion.
• Discuss held with Al Urhammer about the pay structure and a guaranteed car count.  It was discussed that if 11 or less cars show the purse should be cut by $200.  Midwest 305s can decide where to deduct the $200.  No motions made or passed, discussion only held.
• Toby want to have one show at Marshalltown but is currently fighting with insurance company over the catch fence.
• Discussion over making all scheduled events points races since we only have a limited number of shows so far this year.  Randy Reinhard made motion to have all 13 scheduled shows points races.  Jim Twedt seconded the motion.

Dave Sporaa made a motioned to adjourn the meeting and Jim Twedt seconded the motion
