January 4, 2009 Meeting

Meeting called to order by Bob Hildreth at 2:15 PM.  There were no previous minutes to read and approve because the secretary was not present.  One claim was made for the web site hosting for $120.  It was approved to pay by Bob Lamb and seconded by Mary Stephenson.  The treasury report was give, $407.09 in the account, and approved by Keith Carlburg, seconded by Bob Lamb. 

There was discussion on what the web-site hosting fee actually provided the club.  Shad to check into the cost and pay if needed.  Jackie Stephenson will be checking on a the cost of a new website from Go-Daddy.com.   

Ballets for the new board members were handed out.  Running for the position is Lee Clark, Mark Feruson, Marty Stephenson, and Bob Lamb.   Three people will be voted into the board.  Bob Hildreth counted the votes.  Lee Clark Mark Ferguson, and Bob Lamb are the new board members. 

February 1^st is the next meeting, discussion was held to change the date due to it being Superbowl Sunday.  Decided to have the next meeting on February 8, 2009 at Story City. 

Old Buisness – None Discussed.

New Business:  

• Race dates                   June 24 – Mason City (USMTS)  $700 to win

                                                            July 28 – Mason City (Late Models)  $700 to win

                                                            August 6 – Algona  $700 to win

• Britt will have one maybe two dates TBA.  $700 to win.
• Marshalltown will have one date this year.
• Webster City has no dates at this time.
• Fort Dodge has no dates at this time.
• Jackson Speedway will be changing their rules to the Midwest 305 rules.  Discussion on if group should make some of the Jackson races points races.
• Knoxville has flat top wings with wicker bill in their rules.  Midwest 305s states no wicker bills allowed.  Rules stand as written until next year. 
• More engine block numbers have come up as approved factory 305 blocks.  Lee Clark to get the book of numbers to the club to be added to approved listed.  Matt Stephenson gave motion to approve the new numbers and Marty Stephenson seconded the motion.
• Number of points races was discussed and tabled until the next meeting.

Dave Sporaa motioned to adjourn the meeting at 2:50 PM and Keith Carlburg seconded the motion.
