The Midwest 305 sprint cars Board meeting was held at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in Knoxville, Iowa on November 14, 2009. The meeting was called to order by Bob Hildreth at 2:30 p.m.

Members Present:

Bob Hildreth, Shad Sporaa, Dave Sporaa, Mark Ferguson, Keith Carlberg, Earl Tice, Matt Stephenson, Bruce Stephenson, Casey Fredrickson, Mark Aaron, Jim Twedt, Randy Reinhart, and several other people who were not accounted for. A complete list will be shown in notebook in Bob Hildreth’s possession.

Mark Ferguson read the meeting minutes from the previous meeting. Bruce Stephenson moved for approval and seconded by Keith Carlberg.

Shad Sporaa read Treasurer’s report. There is $1,384.81 in the account. Dave Sporaa made a motion to accept the report and Jim Twedt seconded the motion. A claim for the trophies will be submitted by Bob Hildreth.

Bob reported that Lee Clark and Larry Jasper have resigned from the Board effective immediately. He appointed Mark Ferguson as Secretary. He then asked for nominations for two more Board members. The nominees were: Bruce Stephenson, Earl Tice, Matt Stephenson, Wayne Redmond. Ballots were distributed to all paid members present. The results were: Matt Stephenson 7 votes, Wayne Redmond 5 votes, Bruce Stephenson 4 votes, Earl Tice 2 votes. Matt will replace Lee Clark for a one year term. Wayne will replace Larry Jasper.

New Business:

Bob read off the current rules line by line. If everybody agreed to a line item, nothing was changed. If there were discrepancies with a rule, discussion was made.  If those present agreed to change a rule unanimously, it was done. If it wasn’t unanimous it will go the board members at the December meeting for approval. Changes were as follows: Line 4, 3.48 or 3.50 crank, Line 5, 5.7 or 6.0 rod, Line 6, to Board for debate, Line 12 to Board for debate, Line 15 Add “no MSD ignitions allowed”, Line 16, Fuel/Injection Carb. Constant flow injection maximum stacked bore 2 3/16”. If sleeved down, sleeve must be at least 3” long and measue 2 3/16” throughout, no down nozzles, one nozzle per cylinder. Line 17, any 23 degree steel head 49cc with maximum 200cc intake runner, Line 23, a 1” wicker bill can be used on any wing, Line 30, Muffler mandatory 105db.

Redraw: If more than 16 cars are present, a 10 pill will be added. If under 16 cars, 2,4,6,8, will be the only pills used.

Mag bolt, intake, head bolts will be painted next year for easier teching.

Motion to adjourn was made by Matt Stephenson and seconded by Jim Twedt.
