MINUTES/NOTES – MIDWEST 305 SPRINT CARS

January 3, 2010

Story City, Iowa

The Midwest 305 Sprint Cars Board Meeting was held at Story City happy Chef on January 3, 2010. The meeting was called to order by Bob Hildreth at 2:00 p.m.

Members present:

Bob Hildreth, Keith Carlberg, Mark Ferguson, Matt Stephenson, Bruce Stephenson, Dave Sporaa, Shad Sporaa.

Mark Ferguson read the minutes from the last meeting. Dave Sporaa moved for approval, seconded by Shad Sporaa.

Shad Sporaa gave the Treasurer’s report. There is $1,272.03 in the account. He stated that he had another $120.00 left to deposit, but was waiting until January to deposit it. Shad paid the website dues of $200.00. There were no further claims to be paid. Keith Carlberg made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report, seconded by Dave sporaa.

Old Business: None

New Business: Mark Ferguson and Keith Carlberg will be going to the swap meet in Sioux Falls, SD, January 8-10, with rules and general information about the group.

Bruce Stephenson inquired about getting Midwest 305 Sprint Car tattoos made to hand out to kids visiting with our drivers. Matt Stephenson will check into pricing and get back to the group next meeting.

There are five race dates confirmed so far.

June 15, Fairmont Minnesota

June 23, Mason City

These five shows will pay $700.00 to win. More shows are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Jackson has four, 2 day shows set on their schedule.

May 21-22, 3^rd Annual Spring Sprint Car Nationals

June 4-5, 33^rd Annual University of Okoboji Weekend

June 18-19, Loren Woodke Memorial Weekend

August 20-21, 32^nd Annual Jackson Sprint Car Nationals

These races are non-sanctioned by the Midwest 305 group, but please attend to show our support. Jackson does require radios for all cars this year.

Shad Sporaa made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Dave Sporaa.

The next monthly meeting will be held February 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Story City Happy Chef.

Meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
