MINUTES/NOTES – MIDWEST 305 SPRINT CARS

February 6, 2011

Story City, Iowa

The Midwest 305 Sprint Cars Board Meeting was held at Story City Happy chef on February 6, 2011. The meeting was called to order by President Bob Hildreth at 2:00 p.m.

Members present: Mick Fishel, Mark Ferguson, Keith Carlberg, Bob Hildreth, Mark Aaron, Bruce Stephenson, Dave Sporaa, Shad Sporaa, Dan Ebright, Carl Jeffrey, Carleen Jeffrey

Minutes from the last meeting were read by Mark Ferguson. Dan Ebright motioned to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Keith Carlberg.

The Treasury Report was given by Dave Sporaa. There is $2,866.96 in the account. The web domain was paid this month in the amount of $119.50. No other claims were made. Keith Carlberg motioned to accept the report, which was seconded by Mark Aaron.

Old Business: None

New Business: Bruce Stephenson asked where the tattoos were that the group had made last year. Bob Hildreth stated that he has some left and several other members also stated that they had a few left over. Bruce will talk to Matt Stephenson to see about ordering another 1050 of them.

Bob Hildreth has had several questions about why we couldn’t use head studs. Apparently when the current rules were drawn up, an error was made and the last sentence states head bolts only, no studs allowed. Dan Ebright motioned to correct the error to read; “Due to an omission on line 16, head bolts or studs are legal.”This was seconded by Bruce Stephenson. Mark Ferguson will see that the rules paragraph 16 is corrected.

Five race dates have been confirmed so far.
